However, the London to Shanghai route requires a 2.5 hours stop in Guangzhou. I do not plan to leave the airport in Guangzhou. It is one ticket and I will not be collecting luggage in Guangzhou .

Will I be still be able to get the 144 hour visa free stamp in Shanghai despite flying from Guangzhou?
