About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

Free transit

I will be traveling from Pu Dong airport and Hongqiao airport to do a stop in my trip to Korea, I will be 12hours. What are the steps to get my FREE TRANSIT document? Im a USA citizen. Please help me.

1. Inform the carrier when boarding
2. Fill an Arrival/Departure Card
3. Apply for the visa-free stay permit upon arrival
4. Claim the luggage
5. Go through the customs
6. Leave the airport
