China visa questions by cruise

Cruise from HK to Shanghai (2 days) then to Busan, do I need visa, if we join ship tour to Shouzou in Shanghai, do we need visa? Are we only allowed to join ship tour to Shanghai area only?

This qualifies for the 144 hour transit without visa in Shanghai which allows you to travel through the Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. That includes Shouzou.
