About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I visit Xian using the 144 visa exemption from Shanghai?

I am transiting through Shanghai for less than 144 hours from UK to Sydney, Australia

You cannot visit Xi'an unless you get a visa. You must stay in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang if you are in transit without visa.
