About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

USA - Shanghai - Japan. If I land in SH on Feb. 4th at 16:00 from USA

and fly out on Feb. 10th at 09:00 to Japan would that qualify for 144 hr. visa free travel? or do I need to leave on the 9th? I just plan on staying in SH.

144 hours starts at the beginning of the day after arrival (the 5th). So you just need to leave by the end of the day on the 10th
