About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit through Beijing/Guangzhou

Hello, I would be travelling on a New Zealand passport from Istanbul, stopping in Beijing for 13 hours and 40 minutes, and then taking a 3 hour and 15-minute flight to guangzhou. I would be stopping in Guangzhou for 9 hours and 45 minutes, then onwards to Auckland. Do I need entry permit if I were to not leave the airport? And then if I were to leave the airport, what visa would I need? Thank you so much for your help

You need a visa even if you don't leave the airport. Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa.
