You should just be aware of the fact that you will perform all the entry formalities in Beijing and not in Guangzhou. So, upon your landing in Beijing you will do the following in the exact order: fill out arrival card that you will find at the airport, perform fingerprinting at automatic fingerprinting machine, approach 24/240 hour visa free transit where you will formally apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting your flight tickets. After a short check you will be granted a permit and you will then cross the entry immigration because your flight to Guangzhou will be a purely domestic one.
