About:Hong Kong International Airport

Transit time at Hong Kong International Airport

I will arrive with Lufthansa from Frankfurt at 4.15pm and have connection with shanghai airlines at 6.10 pm same day to Zhanjiang. Recommended transit time is 21/2 hours. Do you think it is possible to catch my flight?

Generally speaking, you need to at least 2.5 hours to make this transfer.

Thank you. I know that 21/2hours are recommended but is it in daily routine realistic to catch my flight connection only having less then 2hours for transit and only having carry on luggage?

I am afraid not. In general, 2 hours are not enough for you to finish those transfer procedures. You'd better to change the schedule of your next flight.
