About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

HELP. We are flying from the U.S. to Beijing.

We will be in Beijing for less than 72 hours. We then fly from Beijing to Bangkok. We are Thailand for 7 days. We fly from Phuket to Shanghai. We are in Shanghai for less than 144 hours. Does that mean we do not need entry permit?

You can use the free transit in Beijing and Shanghai respectively if the next country after Shanghai is not Thailand. No visa will be needed.
