About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit
Manila - Shanghai - Tokyo
I’m an US citizen traveling through China without visa.
I’m planning to buy two one-way tickets from/to Shanghai with different airlines.
One way: Manila-Shanghai with Philippine Airlines
Stay in Shanghai for five days during 144-hour transit.
One way: Shanghai to Tokyo with All All Nippon Airways
Can I qualify for 144-hour transit? Should I require entry permit for Japan as the third country with US passport? I only stay a couple of days in Tokyo before returning to America.
