opening hours of forbidden city

Hi, i have read that the last Entry Time in Feb for forbidden City is 15:40; Opening Hour is until 16:30. Do we really have to leave the forbidden city after only 50min? Or is it possible to walk arround for some more hourse (f.e. until 18:00)?

Thank you for your quick reply. Is it possible to leave the forbidden city at 16:30 from the north gate and directly enter jingshan park because the opening hours of the park are until 20:00? How are the opening hours of zhongshan park and imperial ancestral temple? I didn't find any informations on google about that. Is there any other historical building or temple open after 18:00?Thenk you for your help!

Dear, most attractions will closed at 18:00 or 18:30.You can leave the Forbidden City at 16:30 from the north gate and directly enter Jingshan Park. The opening hours of Zhongshan Park is from 9：0 to 17：00. The opening hours of Imperial Ancestral Temple is from 8：0 to 22：00.
