About:How to Take

I'm about to purchase two train tickets, one from Hong Kong to Guangzhou South

And the other from Guangzhou South to Chongqing West, but not sure if 24 minutes will be enough to change trains in Guangzhou. Could you confirm if it's possible to do it smoothly in those 24 minutes? I hold a Spanish Passport.

Also what's the luggage allowance? I will probably carry a small suitcase and a backpack.

Thank you so much.

Yes, 24min is possible to make the transfer if you use the transfer passage. The most important thing is that you need to collect the paper ticket for the second trip from Guangzhou to Chongqing out in HK in advance. If not, the time is surely not enough. With paper tickets in hand, you can use the transfer passage to back to the waiting hall directly instead of exit the station. Once you back tot he waiting hall, you can find the checkin gate for the second trip and checkin again. If you have problem of finding the transfer passage, you can show the paper ticket for your next trip to a station staff on paltform.

By the way, for luggage, 20kg is OK. One suitcase and backpack is fine.
