24 hours visa-free transit if the Arrival and Departure Airlines are different

Hi, I am planning to travel from Mumbai > Beijing with Airline 'A' and depart from Beijing > New York with Airline 'B' (20 hours transit time). Both these tickets have different PNR numbers because they are booked separately with different airlines. Am I still eligible for 24 hour free transit? Please let me know!
