China Work Visa / Malaysia Passport

1. Passport expiring end of April 2019. Can it be renewed in China, mainly Beijing?

2. Understand my old passport will remain with me while applying for the new one. Can i still go to other countries with validity passport of less than 6 months?

1. You can try to renew it from the embassy in Beijing China.
2. You are advised to renew it if you passport has validity of less than 6 months.
