About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

transiting in hong kong for few hours before shanghai

if i fly London via Hong Kong(transit for 1.5hrs) to Shanghai and stay there for less than 72hrs, then continue to Hong Kong for a few days and return to Europe. Will the first 1.5hrs stopover in Hong Kong within the terminal count as an actual stop in Hong Kong or not? Wondering if I can get the 72hr free transit

You need a visa. HKG-SHA-HKG isn’t a transit.
