About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Country of origin

Hi I am Australian. I will be going from Australia -> Taiwan -> Beijing -> Australia.
Will I be eligible for the 144hr twov?
Taiwan and Australia are two different countries but I'm flying back to Australia which is the country I am originally from, does that count of country of origin?
