You can take the airport bus Route No.2 and get off at Jinjiang Grand Hotel. Then walk about the 5 minutes to the railway station. You may get to the railway station at about 22:30. And you can catch the train. You can get the train ticket on this website.

Hi Tram, i'm having same inquiry as yours. I would like to catch last train 23:20 to Lijiang. It seems to be risky for us to take bus/taxi from Kunming airport to Railway station. We have 2.5 hours only for doing immigration and go there. I wonder if taxi is faster and more convenient than airport bus line 2 !? How long does it take and How much !?Can anyone help us. Thank you so much.

If you are afraid you couldn't catch the train, you are advised to take a taxi, taking about CNY70 - 80 and around 50 minutes.
