does the smog in shanghai during december get so bad that it could affect taking photos?

Or does the sun still bring enough brightness during the day? Also is it too foggy in the evenings too? Most of my itinerary is climbing the tall towers and I'm worried I might not see anything anyway.

Hi, it may be a little foggy in December but it may not influence the sightseeing a lot. December is the best time to visit there with cool weather and less rainfall.
