About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Question for 144 hour visa

I am traveling from LAX to Shanghai on December 3 and arriving in Shanghai at 5 pm on December 4. I am leaving Shanghai on December 10 to Taipei Taiwan. Will I qualify for the 144 Hour China Free Transit?

Hi, thank you for your response. Sorry for second question. So, while in Shanghai during my 144 hours, can I take a bullet train to Beijing and see the Great Wall, and then come back to Shanghai to leave to Taiwan?

That will land you in serious trouble. You cannot leave Shanghai, Jiangsu province and Zhejiang province.

How do we notify our airline in advance we want to use the 144 hour free transit? Do we tell them at the check in counter before we board the plane?
