About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

flying into Guangzhou or Shenzhen on a transit visa

Am I able to go to Hong Kong (i am going there to get a one months business M for China)

Do you have a transit visa already? Or do you mean transit without visa? It makes a big difference. Transit without visa is not allowed at Shenzhen. If you fly into Guangzhou you must also fly to Hong Kong unless you have a visa.
