About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK to Tokyo transit in Beijing, cruise to Shanghai then fly to UK transit in Beijing

We are flying from the UK to Tokyo via a transit in Beijing. From Tokyo we cruise to Shanghai and stay in Shanghai for 3 nights. We then fly back to the UK from Shanghai via a transit in Beijing. Does this routing qualify for the 144 hour twov.

You need a visa. It does not qualify for 144 hours transit without visa. Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours.
