About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Hi we are traveling from US to Tokyo. We stay in Tokyo for 6 days.

144 hr visa free eligible?
We then take a one way flight to Shanghai for two days and after two days return to the US. Are we eligible for the 144 hr visa free? Thanks

Yes, if your Shanghai to USA flight does not stop in China or Japan (and your passports are from one of the 53 qualifying countries of course).
