About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying out of China an back in

Hey,
I'm currently staying in China on tourist L for 60 days. I already have booked my flight back home from Guangzhou to Vienna on the 12th of September. I want to visit South Korea before I fly home from China, so I want to book a ticket from Shenzhen to Seoul and back from Seoul to Guangzhou in order to catch my flight.
My flight back home from Guangzhou to Vienna has a layover in Beijing.
Can I use the 72h twov in Guangzhou in order to get my luggage in get on my flight home via Beijing?

Pretty confusing, I hope you know what I mean!

Thank you

You cannot use the 72h twov in Guangzhou because the 72 hour policy requires passengers to transit in one Chinese city only.

If your tourist visa has expired or has no more entries by 12 September, then you will be limited to 24 hours twov(from scheduled arrival in CAN to scheduled departure from PEK) because of the stop in Beijing. It doesn’t matter if you leave the airport or not. Your other option is to change your flight to Europe.
