China 144 Hour non-visa entry

Hello,
I have a Spanish passport. I have a flight soon which is Sydney - Shanghai on a Saturday. 2 days later (Monday) I have a different outbound flight which is Shanghai - Guangzhou - Mexico. Would I need to apply for a tourist visa or does the 144 visa-free entry policy apply even though I have two stops in different cities?

I'm afraid that you are not eligible for the 144-hour visa free as it allows air passengers transit in only one region of the three designated areas. In addition, Guangzhou is not included in this three designated areas. Therefore, it is suggested that you apply for a tourist visa in advance.
