About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

3rd country confirmation

Since these policies have a habit of changing so frequently, can I just check.

Am going from UK to Shanghai (3 nights) and then back to UK via Hong Kong (2 nights stay). Presumably this is still OK?

Am going via Finnair (UK, Finland transit for plane change, then PVG) so for the visa free purpose technically is my starting point considered as UK or Finland? Does it matter?

It very much matters. You are seen as Finland-Shanghai-Hong Kong, which is fine for transit without visa.
