leave airport without visa between flights?

Question

Hi!My first flight arrives in Wuhan airport 3:05pm Sunday 17th June,and next flight to London leaves 2:20pm Monday 18th June,can I leave the airport grounds to sleep at a hotel for the night without a visa, and if so how could I get this confirmation in writing (ideally email) from airport before I book my hotel?(If not I’ll sleep at the airport no problem!)Thanks,Robin

Hi, you can leave the airport without a visa only if complete the embarkation/disembarkation card, together with your travel documents, boarding pass for the onward connecting flight and travel itinerary, and then go to the inspection counter of China Immigration Inspection to apply for 24h stay permit.
