transit bangladesh passport

Question

We are a couple and wife is German, husband Bangladeshi but with German residency/bangladesh passport.On the way from Bali back to Germany and 18 hour layover (uhh) in CAN airport. I know german wife can get up to 72 hours If we want to go into town..will I be able to get 24 hour visa and go to town or  will i have to stay in airport?South china airline also gives us free hotel but i am not sure if i can leave the airport and go there.lol

Hi, both of you can enjoy 24 hr direct transit in CAN, and you are allowed to leave the airport after getting the free temporary stay permit at the immigration office. Nice trip.
