About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US to Bangkok with 2 stops in China

Hi,

I have a flight from the US west coast to Bangkok and I have two stops in China (PVG and KMG).

Does this type of transit require visa (since I'm going from one region to another on a domestic flight but have a final international destination) or can it be covered by the 24h transit one?

Thank you!

James, if your total layover time in mainland China is within 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hr direct transit. No need to apply for a visa then.
