About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

flying into beijing and out of shanghai

does the 144 hour visa free rule apply also if i fly out of a different airport? we are flying in on june5th to beijing and out june 10th from shanghai.

You need a visa for that. Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours visa-free transit.
