X2 China visa application in Bangkok

I'm currently living in China and need to leave Chine to apply for a X2. Is it possible to do it in Bangkok. I've heard that foreigners who do not live in Thailand or do not have a Thai work permit cannot apply for a visa in Thailand any more. Is it true? I would really appreciate your help :)

Based on what I know, it's possible for you to apply for the X2 type in Thailand as long as you have valid visa in there. You can have a try. Good luck.
