Visa Exemption Program exiting China by train?

I'm a Mexican National arriving in Beijing on 30 May 12:05pm and leaving Beijing on 2 June by train onto Mongolia arriving in Ulan Bator 14hrs (that's 74 hrs later but by the 70th hour or less would be crossing the border) Do I apply for the 72 hour transit exemption?

You need a tourist visa. Trains leaving for Mongolia depart from Beijing Railway Station which is not an eligible port of entry for 144-hour transit.
