Hi, Jennie, to apply for a HK visa form USA, it usually takes four working days for the processing, but if your application will be transferred to HK immigration department, it would take 4 to 6 weeks and there is no express service.

Yes, you need to wait for 4-6 weeks if your application will be transferred to HK immigration department from the Chinese embassy or consulate in USA. If you mean the visa's validity, usually, the duration you can stay in HK depends on the actual days you need. The consular officers will give you proper duration of stay.
