About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Coming into Pudong Airport, departing on a cruise to Sydney and only be in Shanghai for 108 hours

Is there a special gate ,desk I have to go get the visa ?

No visa is needed, and you can apply for a 144h visa free transit. Oh, you need to tell the airline when boarding and apply for it upon arrival at the airport.
