Does Transit Rule apply for TWO STOPS in one trip?

Is the following itinerary feasible:
USA >>> Beijing (up to 144hrs)>>> Hong Kong>>> Shanghai (up to 144hrs)>>>USA, all done in ONE trip

Hi, you can use two 144 hr free transits in mainland China in this trip. No need to worry.
