Hongkong Octopus or MTR Card?

In HK for three days. Which card is recommended. Will use bus, train and ferry. Is there unlimited trips?
How can I be most cost-effective and yet enjoy sights?
Want a convenient means of payment without hassles and possibly queues.

Is HK very busy in April after mid April?

Octopus Card is recommended, which you can return and get the rest of the money when leaving. The card can be used on metros, buses and ferries.

As an international city, HK is always busy, especially during holidays.
