About:Visa on Arrival

Hong Kong to Shenzhen Round trip

I’m planning on going to Shenzhen from Hong Kong for a day with a USA passport. I will be traveling to Japan a couple of days after arriving back in Hong Kong. Do I need a visa or am I qualified for Visa free?

Sorry, Lauren, your route is not qualified for the 24h or 240h visa free transit policy because it’s a round trip, not a transit, and a normal visa or a 5-day Shenzhen port visa is thus required.
