About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Australia Passport arrive in Hong Kong than take train to Shenzen for less than 24hrs back to Hong.

That requires a visa prior to arrival. Shenzhen VOAs can only be obtained at specified and and ferry border checkpoints and not at a rail border checkpoint.
