About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

can I apply 144h in Beijing and 144h in Shanghai?

I will be travelling to BJ on 1-5 June and to Shanghai 5-10 June.

No, you need a visa in advance. Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours.
