144 hr visa eligibility

I will be arriving at PEK airport on April 12, 8:20pm and will leave to Hong Kong on April 18 at 1pm. My flight back to the USA is from Hong Kong to PEK airport on April 22, Sunday 4:25pm to 5:10pm and from PEK to Dallas at 8:30pm. (Obviously I will not leave the airport as I only have a few hours of layover) Is this initinerary still a good one to go visa free?
