About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise passenger entering China at Xiamen, exiting SHanghai. Eligible for transit visa?

I arrive in China aboard a cruise ship. First Chinese port is Xiamen. I then disembark in Shanghai and 72 hours later fly home to the US.

No. Your transit time will be limited to 24 hours instead, so you need a visa.
