About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

canadian - tokyo to shanghai and back to tokyo

I have a canadian passport.. traveling to tokyo and stay there for 6 days, then going to shanghai for 2 days then back to tokyo.

am i eligible for the 144 hour or 72 hour transit visa?

Of course not, Tokyo-Shanghai-Tokyo isn't a transit.
