2 hour layover in Shenzhen from USA to Xiamen

I have a flight coming up 03/05 from US to Taiwan. I have two layovers in China. One is at Xiamen for 19 hours and I’m confident I understand the 72 hour Visa I can get so no issue there. The other is in Shenzhen for a 2 hour layover That connects me from US to Xiamen. Is there any way to avoid purchasing a full visa for a connecting flight there? Thanks so much.

Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa, so you won't qualify for 72 hours. Moreover, visa-free transit is not permitted in Shenzhen at all. So you either need a visa or should should change your flights.
