About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

How long do I have to be out of China before using 144 hour visa again?

I would like to fly into Shanghai, stay a few days, fly onto Thailand or Vietnam for 30 days, and then fly back to Shanghai, stay a few more days, and finally fly home to Canada. Would this be allowed?

If your travel route will be Canada-Shanghai-Thailand or Vietnam-Shanghai-Canada, you are allowed to use the 144 hour free transit waiver in Shanghai twice. No need to worry.
