About:China Transit Visa

South African passport with a 20h layover in PEK. Do I need a visa to exit the airport?

If you travel like country A-PEK (20 hours)-country B, you will be able to use the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. And then you can apply for a free temporary stay permit to leave the airport.
