traveling from canada to pakistan on pakistani passport. do i need a transit visa?

I have 23 hours layover at Beijing Airport. Do I need Transit G type to go out of the airport? If yes then How do I get a Transit G type? Because I went to chinese consulate General in Vancouver ( Canadian city ) with all required documents and they told me that they serve only Canadian nationals in this Visa office.  Is there ANY way I can go out of the airport? Thanks.

Muhammad, yes, you need to apply for a transit G type. First, you should prepare passport and its copy, the application form affixed with a passport-style photo, your residence permit in Canada, and the air tickets. Next, submit the application to the CVASC in Vancouver.
