About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I will be flying to Shanghai from Los Angeles by Eva Airlines with layover in Taiwan,

I am not going to go through custom and enter the Taiwanese territory. Is My origination country USA or Taiwan?

I asked this because my outbound country is Taiwan and I want to see if qualify for the 72 hour free Visa.

Thanks.

You don't qualify because Taiwan-China-Taiwan isn't a transit. It's irrelevant that you don't enter Taiwan.
