visiting forbidden town- transport from capital airport

Question

Hello. Could you, please, advice what is the fastest and easiest way to get from Capital Airport to Forbidden town? I have only couple hours to visit the town, so can't be lost :) Is it better go directly by shuttle bus no.13 to Wangfujing Street or taking Express train and change to shuttle bus? Also how far is the entrance and exit from the stop for shuttle bus? Thank you for your help and advices, fully appreciated! Mirka from Slovakia

Airport Express & subway is a better choice, since you may meet traffic jam by shuttle bus.take airport express to Dongzhimen, and transfer to subway line 2, then, transfer to line 1 at Jianguomen and get off at Tiananmen East. Walk north to cross the Tiananmen Square, you will get there. See the square and the surrounding attractions including the complex of Forbidden City which you are suggested to see only from outside. Then roam around Qianmen Street for dining and shopping.
