About:Beijing Capital International Airport

I have a 9 hour layover in Beijing before departing to Bangkok.

Is that enough time to leave the airport and see part of the city? I am concerned about going back through security and customs and I am not sure if that is enough time to leave the airport.

Well, you can take airport express and transfer to subway line 2 at Dongzhimen, do another transfer to line 1 at Jianguomen and get off at Tiananmen East. The single trip takes about 70 minutes.

Then, you can walk north across the square to enjoy the spectular appreance of Forbidden city, and then walk south for 15 minutes to Qianmen street, Dashilar Street.

Back to the airport, take line 1 then line 2, airport express.
