inquiry about my application

Hi,
I applied for a visit visa to Macau from NZ in Wellington 5 days ago but have not received any mails to confirm that they received my application. Is this normal? Can I call the embassy to make an inquiry? Thank you.

Yeah, it is normal. If the embassy deals with your application on its own, it may take 5 working days, but if your application is transferred to Macau immigration department, it may take 3 weeks. You can call the embassy to make an inquiry.
