About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying into Beijing on one ticket and out on another

Hi guys, when the 72 hour visa started I know you had to fly in and out of China on the same ticket. I heard that this has now changed and you can fly in on one ticket/airline and out on a separate one. Can you confirm whether this is the case or not?

You never had to fly out with the same airline in the first place. It can be different airlines from the beginning. The only requirement is to have an outbound ticket that does not have another stop in Mainland China.
